Janet Tan-Collis, Chief Executive

Janet is the Chief Executive of East West Executive Travelers with over 30 years of experience in the travel and tourism industry in Singapore.

An active business advocate & respected individual in the industry, Janet has committed much of her time in championing the development of industry, especially in the area of meetings, incentives, conferences & destination marketing where she sits on various committees including Vice President, Meetings & Incentive, SACEOS as well as various school boards which includes the Republic Polytechnic and Management Development Institute of Singapore.

With a firm passion towards service & entrepreneurship, having built her own business from scratch, Janet believes strongly in the need to inspire & mentor new champions & nurturing young professionals who can take the industry to new directions & new heights. She lives by example where her personal curiosity and passion for the business drives her to continued personal growth. She is currently pursuing a professional training course to equip herself to further champion her cause for service quality and service management.  She is also chairman to Crew Skills, a company set to deliver new standards in the cruise industry where it is dedicated to training the right people to gain necessary skills to start a rewarding career in the International Cruise Line industry.
Through her career, Janet has won several accolades for the company as well as for herself. Her key aspiration is to contribute to the future growth and prosperity of the “MICE” & Leisure industry with focus on special interest travel & corporate social responsibility in Asia Pacific by mentoring and nurturing young talent to be leaders and champions of the future.

A part of her success in nurturing the young is seen in the example of her own children where she continues to enjoy engaging & having a banter with. Sarah has a degree in Design from the University of NSW and is now pursuing a career in a Brand Design organization having worked in New York and Dubai previously and James who has a degree in commerce & mechanical engineering with honors and is currently doing his masters in Melbourne University.

While committed to her work, Janet passion for the arts keeps her occupied in her free time in development projects aimed at delivering innovative experiences in areas of dance, art & wellness. She keeps herself engaged in the community where she is active in ballet & pilates.
